Kate Nematollahi, DDS
General and Cosmetic Dentistry
I am a compassionate and dedicated dentist with over 27 years of experience in oral diagnosis, restorative dental treatment, cosmetic dentistry, and TMJ splint therapy. I graduated from The University of Maryland College Park with a B.S. in General Biological Sciences and earned my D.D.S. from The University of Maryland Dental School in Baltimore. I received special training and certification in Advanced Education in General Dentistry from The University of Michigan. In that 2-year Post-doc program, I received specialized training in utilizing Cerec CAD/CAM technology. I contributed to clinical research projects and participated in an exchange program with the University of Zurich. For 12 years, I owned and managed a dental practice in downtown Bethesda, delivering high-quality, state-of-the-art dental care. I am committed to continuing education and have completed the Pankey Institute and Spear Education courses. As I gather experience to become a mentor instructor in the future, my goal is to inspire and motivate the upcoming generation of dental professionals while continuing to work as an associate dentist in a patient-centered practice. I focus on fostering authentic connections with patients and educating them to maintain happy, healthy smiles.
My interests outside of work are spending quality time with my husband and two wonderful children cheering the Terps, Wolverines, and Hokies. My husband and I have been together for over 30 years, sharing our experiences in the dental profession, our extended families in Iran, and our travels around the world. I love reading, going on long walks with my dog, and practicing yoga. I have been able to increase my volunteering time for the Maryland Responds Medical Reserve Corps, as well as other local charitable organizations. I also take online French conversation classes and listen to French music and podcasts to fulfill my lifelong dream of becoming fluent.
